Pipercross CAI on MINI Cooper S (R53)...

Just finished installing a Pipercross Induction Kit on our R53 MCS Test Mule. Here are the details:

Step 1:

Open the box. Check out the contents. Pretty simple, really... A foam filter with a nicely welded aluminum intake with the foam that makes Pipercross a legend. Aluminium Heat Shielding, Installation Instructions, Cleaning/Oiling Instructions, and two Hose Clamps.

Step 2:

Remove stock airbox and save ALL parts that you remove from your MINI.

Step 3:

Attach aluminium heat shielding using screws and mounting points for Stock Airbox.

Step 4:

Apply Pipercross Dirt Retention Additive sparingly. Wipe off excess...

Step 5:

Attach stock air intake to Pipercross aluminium rampipe inside CAI. Secure with provided hose clamp.

Step 5: Gather your tools and 'spare parts', put them away. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. Total time: 30 minutes Total beer: 2.5

Since this car is your test mule, do you have a "before" dyno chart? What other mods are on the car? Exhaust? Pulley?

BTW, the dyno results are from Pipercross UK and were not from this MCS. Of course all dynos have 'inherent limitations', however, they are a useful tool when used properly. The point of this thread is more to show the installation of this CAI. I have not located the 'before' graph as of yet, but know that the addition of the CAI certainly did not decrease horsepower or torque. I'll post some hard numbers and images as soon as I find them.
