Newly installed STRI Boost Guage Question

I just finished installing my new boost guage and oil pressure (not yet set up) with the pod mounts (from Roguemini's website) and it looks great. I have a few questions for those of you who own this set up.

1. I have the smoked lens and amber lights and they look great at night. Do you guys have diffculty in seeing the gauge in full daylight? (or is there a brightness setting I'm missing).

2. At idle I'm reading like -10 to -20 PSI. At freeway cruising speed I'm like -5 PSI. Under accelation I get between 0 - maybe 10 PSI for a second or two and then it's back to negative PSI. Is this normal? I've only done the 15% pully and air intake so far. I had expected 10 PSI under hard acceleration, but I didn't expect the car to be negative most of the time. Even when it goes up + it will quickly drop back to -. I'm just wondering if this is normal or if I've done something wrong in the install. (I basically tapped the line which comes from the tube between cylinders 2 and 3).
Thanks!

You will see 14-15psi @ redline only... Other than that, everything looks fine.

the negative is because ur tapping into a vaccuum line... and your S/C is only building boost wen the load on the engine is high enough... driving on the highway at a constant speed wont produce any boost... so every looks great :D

Just got mine put in. Yeah, they're hard to read during the day. The smoked lens is waaay too dark.
