I am curious to know what driving book(s) you all would recommend for some spirited driving. Thanks!

Thanks Bullfrog. I just rec'd Skip Barber's book and Ross Bentley's Speed Secret II. I'll have to check out his first book as well!

I do appreciate everyone's willingness to take the time to give me recommendations.

Here's a free (albeit garish and kinda clunky) website with lots of good techniques:

http://www.redlinerennsport.com/DriversEdEd.html

I also recommend materials from VARA - Vintage Auto Racing Association (VARA Website), and the following books all have very useful info:

Bob Bondurant on High Performance Driving

Secrets of Solo Racing by Henry A. Watts

Ayrton Senna's Principles of Race Driving
(Wow! I just checked the pricing on the Senna book - it certainly increased in value since I bought it! I guess I'll have to take better care of my copy! - STill has the price sticker on it: $22.95US)

and last, but not least,

Motoring - Getting the Maximum from Your New MINI by Gary Anderson & Don Racine (Yeah the MC^2 Magazine folks!)

All contain info about learning to improve your "spirited" driving skills.

Edited to add links to Amazon.com for each of the books.

As previously stated

Secrets of Solo Racing by Henry A. Watts

http://turnfast.com/

But most importantly I reccomend

NASA HPDE

It will do more for you than any book out there.

Thanks for the great link to TurnFast! Looks super useful.

And I agree completely that no book can take the place of actual in-car driver training. Also very useful for improving driving skills:

Autocross, Track Days (Phil Wicks, NASA, BMWCCA, SCCA, and others), Schools such as Bondurant, Skip Barber, etc. ($$$$$$), and even go-karting!
