How about Mini Marks comments to me at Monticello. He has 30 hp more than I have and would not point me by until I slow down to his speed. Then he would race me to the next corner.
These are his comments:
I am not going to make it easy for you to pass me.
What do you want? You want me to put it in reverse for you?

Or how about a 335i that couldn't take a corner with a roadmap and gps but had just enough HP to out-gun me in the straights but not by enough that I didn't have to about stop to keep from putting a Mini emblem mark onto his trunk lid at the next corner. A whole session worth of this.

(Slinger, hope it's OK I changed 'reserve' to reverse for you.
Had a great time with a heavily modded carrera 4 a couple of years ago. Toward the end of the first session, I would ride his tail for three quarters of the track, we'd hit the straight, and of course he'd pull away, until the corner. Usually I'd just pull off, let him get ahead to get clean track, but I knew we were toward the end of the session.
I asked him between sessions to let me go--and he said (at least politely) no way, I'm too fast on the straights. I tried to tell him I was running quite a bit quicker overall lap times; I just got a blank stare.
So next time out, I tried getting in front of him on the grid, which worked out great, until I caught him halfway through, same result. Except this time, he was getting blue flagged by every corner worker. I considered pulling off, but seeing those blue flags, it was just too much fun...
So I asked him between the next session, if he happened to notice the blue flags. Blank stare.
Next session, he managed to get himself black flagged (Apparently I wasn't the only one who had had enough of this guy--a couple of other drivers complained to the head honcho). At least he pulled over.
At the end of the day, he somewhat sheepishly came over, and while not apologizing, asked how I was able to get the car around the track so quickly. And we got to talking, and it turns out this guy has not had one single day of instruction. How he managed to get in our group is beyond me...

VV,
Ian and Elivan would be talking to you soon about that incident. I also remember another incident where that woman yelled at you for tire scrubbing at Olana.
Problem is some people do not want to run in the group they should be in as per the op's link. I did wish he trash his gears and put it into reverse.

We have to plan a track event where we can have some fun out there.
Kind of reminds us in the NE of Lambo gal.
The 9/24 SCCA Monticello day is almost empty
Humm, that is a Friday. I have problems with weekdays because of unretirement. I negiotiated the registered track days with the head cheese so I am able to do those.
I thought you were hooked? What is this going to Savanah thing?

Definitely have to check out the schedule, see if we can get a caravan of MINI's together at some acceptable track. I'd love to see some other people's setups, see what I can learn...
I think we lost the op.
