Bean has made some very good points and is one of the nicest guys on NAM with a ton of knowledge to share.

One of the reasons I take the time and ask detailed questions of clients is to see where they run, how they run, and what they run to try and make sure they are on the best pads for them.

Just like tires there is no one pad for everyone and I have many guys that run different pads at different tracks because they are super dialed in.

Track report

Just returned today from WGI where I attended the GVC BMW CCA school. Good bunch of guys and very well organized BTW for those interested.

Well, I'm here to report on the performance of the XP12/10 combo as recommended by Dustin. In a word, they worked great ! Good braking power, good modulation, and best of all, no more boiling of the brake fluid, and therefore, no more spongy pedal.

I also met slinger688 at the track and another MINI owner. We exchanged war stories and had a great time.

I highly recommend Carbotech products.

It was a really fun time at wgi. Three Minis in our run group so it was more fun to run in similar cars.

mlg2ga is a really good and safe driver. Glad your brakes worked out.

Thanks slinger688 ! We had a great time indeed. Next time, we'll do some lead/follow to learn from each other.

Thanks bean. I'm happy it did as I was getting frustrated. But I will remove the pads and rotors and replace with street combo before taking it out again. Now that I've warmed them up good, they are quite noisy. People look and probably think that my brakes are shot
