First track day on new setup...

The day was a little windy, overcast with temps between 37F and 40F. Track, cold and wet until the third group finally dried it up.

The Megans were fine set at 10 clicks from full hard front and rear - no point trying to adjust anything yesterday; too cold to get anywhere.

I had difficulties with tires temps; cold psi started the day at 33psi and the tires grew to 42/43 psi I ran two sessions with these temps trying a different line and a smoother style. Same results.

During the Classroom discussion, Joe Castella suggested I drop the psi to 29. I was also told that the RA1s only perform above 60 degrees F...they didn't feel much grippier than my everyday Michelins.

Joe's advise paid off, but the tires stll did not hookup the way I thought they would. I was consistently a few ticks above 1:10 and even managed a best of nearly 1:9 flat while chasing a Z06 for about 6 laps.

One BMW totaled and lots of offs - lots of dirt and mud on the track too.
