Performance driving school

Wouldn't it be great if we could take delivery of our new MINI's at BMW performance driving school is S.C.?

It seems to be an option if you buy a BMW.

Saw this on BMW website:

Driver’s Ed taught you the ABC’s. Now it’s time for Graduate School.

The BMW Performance Driving School is where you take your driving skills to the Master’s level. Your campus: a $12.5 million, state-of-the-art Performance Center. With a skid pad. Slalom course. Water walls. Professional driving instructors. And, of course, a fleet of new BMWs. The BMW Performance Driving School is about control. It’s about pushing a BMW to its limits. And yours. It’s about discovering the joy of driving. So when you face the everyday hazards of the highways, you’re ready. You’ve already experienced and mastered these challenges in a controlled environment. And emerged a joyful, more confident driver.

I think a ground swell of opinion focused on MINIUSA could make this happen.

We are already locked out of taking delivery of our cars in England because of the LD and RD issue (Although there is the Chunnel) - Come on BMW open this up to us!

I think so long as you are footing the bill BMW would let you go ahead and do the school. I was also under the impression that that is how things were for the BMW owners.

I missed a screen - this is the intro:

Taking delivery of a new BMW is a thrill unto itself. But BMW’s Performance Driving School Delivery Program makes this special moment truly memorable by immersing you and your new BMW in a unique performance driving experience. Pick up your new BMW at the Performance Driving School in Spartanburg, South Carolina where you can tour the state-of-the-art BMW Factory and take part in driving clinics led by expert instructors. An unforgettable way to kick off the Ultimate Driving Experience.

ok, now I see where you feel slighted with the lack of offereings from MINI, have you tried contacting your MA to see if you could at least attend the school as part of the process. Also rumor, and I mean rumor, has it that something along these lines might be in order for the GP but I think that that is more of a banquet than a driving school.

If you ever get the opportunity.. go!
My son and I took an advanced driving course there... We signed up thru the BMW club that my son belongs to... It was a day and a half of driving.. hard driving... great instructors and lots of seat time.... All the lessons were on the various courses... At the end we hit the big track for open runs... they ran the timers and gave out awards...
Out of 32 people there... my son and I placed 1st and 2nd.. He beat me by 1/100th of a sec! So they gave us both trophies.... and declared it a first for the track...
A very fun day...
