Oct 31 Lime Rock DE
S-driver,
come on down and chat and hang out with us. It is only for a few hours since the event is from 1:00 to 5:00 pm only.
Not sure there will be too many Minis for this event but VV and I are trying to get a few more out there.

Since I will be confined to the camera, I will monitor the pit area for shenanigans.
Sure thing guy's, I'll be there. If you guy's want I'll bring my GPS stuff and you can take turns running it to see what your doing out there....
Yes...I saw that they added another date but the EMRA thing will be my last track event this year. Actually I'll be heading to NH that day for a weekend autox with a couple buddies.

S-driver,
Would really like to take the gps for a spin so please bring it.
Oct 31 is my last track day for the year as well. So I think I will try to have some fun on the track with VV and sort out what I want to do with the car during the winter.

Such a pessimist! It's over a week away and the forecasters have a hard time getting it right 3 days away. I will make sure my tires are going the right direction for channeling water, just in case.
Unfortunately the weather forcasters were right on the money for my EMRA track day yesterday, crappy! It NEVER changed for the whole 10 day forcast!
Needless to say I skipped the event but did go to watch a friend do his very first event. 40 people were a no-show.
The battery in the MINI died yesterday morning anyway so I couldn't have made it reguardless. It won't even take a charge so it's dead dead. Hopefully I'll be able to pick one up this week...

Wow, that was a tough day, drizzling and the track was quite wet. Had a great time still with VV, GKP, S-driver, scooter and a couple more Minis.
Talk about power understeer in the turns!
Many thanks to Ian, Bill, Ann, Elivan, Ashley and the SCDA crew for a great season.

At least we had one dry run group. I wasn't happy with the way my car was feeling in the rain at all. What saved the day was all the MINI company we had. Thanks S-driver, for immortalizing my slowest lap times ever. Thanks, Glen, for taking pictures and video, from the flagger's station no less! And thanks to everybody else for making the time between runs fly by. I'm on the fence about the last event on November 7th. Depends on the weather, and I doubt the temps will be anywhere near what they were yesterday.
I am done with track days for this year. My Mini is going back to becoming my daily driver and hopefully some pampered miles. Hope to see everyone next year at the track.
I will try to post some track schedules as they become available so we can plan ahead to get together at the track. Great meeting up with all of you track junkies (or soon to be track junkies).

Blue skies and sunny this morning, though a bit chilly to start. Hopefully the track will warm up this afternoon as the temps are supposed to be in the low 50's. Will report back after the session.
A perfect way to end the track season. The track warmed up nicely by the afternoon, and the car felt very good in all the corners. My lap times were much faster than last week in the wet, and the car was very smooth all around. Suss made it and we had a good lead/follow session last time out. Now I have to clean all the rubber marks off the car before getting it ready for winter hibernation. Sorry you couldn't be there, Slinger, but Ian promised to have SCDA's schedule up in the next couple of weeks. Hope you are enjoying your vacation!

I will be waiting for next year's schedule. I would like to do about 15 days with Ian if I can.
Both VV and I like driving in the rain. We like Monticello, Glen in the rain but not LRP too much.

I have some good video (despite the bad weather) but have not had time to transfer it to a DVD for you. Work is tough for me this time of year -- 10/11-hour days + 3.5-4 hours a day commuting. (This is the first time I've logged on to NAM in two weeks!). I will get to it eventually and when I do you'll hear from me. I'll also do an edit to post on NAM. Meantime, Happy Motoring!
