15 inch tyres / pressures / makes

I noticed a lot of you run 15 inch tyres at track days, our tracks varies from 1.7 miles to 4.2 miles so even I can nearly touch 130 on the back straight on the big one.

I'm currently running http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m4b626s99p0

I believe they suit me at the moment because they're cheap and I'm still learning, but they do seem like i'm on firm jelly at times so doesn't give me confidence.

I was wondering if it was a tyre pressure thing, sorry never checked them after a session.

Any clues or advice would be appreciated, running cross suspension.

Check you pressures when hot right after a session and get back to us. Might also want to mark the sidewall in a few spots to see how far they are rolling.

Yeah I just remembered reading something about that, might be in one of your threads.

Its a lot cheaper obviously to buy another pair of 195/50-15 Paradas than to buy a set of 215 40 17,

I like my 15s because it looks like I have a BBK already

Just out of intrest Nate do you keep on the DOT tyres just so you dont have to change tyres at the track? or is it because you like to kick butt on the track then honk them on there trailers on the way home

Paradas-2 I would run about 32-34 front and 36 rear. Depending on conditions and car set up and adjust between sessions as needed. I actually ran that on the track once in a 17 and they did pretty well.
