HPDE insurance complications

It's looking like I have insurance complications. I've only been doing these track days since 1991.

Been driving since 1961.

I've never had an accident - my fault or anyone else's either - a totally accident-free record for 46 years.

Last ticket was in '94, thirteen years ago. Prior to that I had a ticket in 1984. That's it for tickets. But guess I'm still a risk.

I may even have to back out of the Barber BMW CCA HPDE this weekend. And maybe all of the track days...

Most folks think Chris Maume is the insurance man for this, but I can't get him to return a call or an e-mail as of yet. May be too soon, as I only e-mailed and called him yesterday, or maybe he's on vacation.
Anyone know of an answer to this problem, other than taking a chance?

Could you clarify what your insurance problems appear to be?

Are you trying to get coverage for a car while it is on a race track? or,,,, what?

Yes.

Some companies are reported to cover HPDEs. Companies like Amica. Of course even if they do, they won't cover racing or timed events, even safe events like auto-xs.

My insurance company seemed to be ok in that regard (HPDEs).

But rather than taking the agent's, office employee's, or claim adjuster's word again, I decided to check what the policy actually says.

It's waaay too gray to want to take a chance.

My attorney would never want me to drive at Barber or Road Atlanta under that policy.
