New Slicks...

And doesnt everyone love my teal Escort GT wheels?

And since they dont have a street car, street slick class at our track, i somehow ended up in Animal class, with all vehicles that run slicks!

Hehe. slower than street tires.

Take all that you know about any drag racing and throw it out the window on a FWD car with slicks, lol.

I'm still tweaking. I want to see 13.8 as it sits now. I'll have video of me running as of this saturday at Dragfest!

What's done to the MCS? It's my whopping second post on the forum, not sure what it takes for a MCS to break 13's, I wonder if the LSD 6spd can take the abuse of slicks?

(I know my VW cant)

Yes it can for sure.

Just dont be afraid. I drop mine at over 5500 rpm, just sidestepping the clutch.

Spillman has told me he launches from redline.

If your afraid to do it, your never going to be able to do it right. You have to be able to tell yourself something might break, and when you can do that, you will be all set.

Wow, whole different philosiphy over on these boards lol.

What mods do you have on yours? I have "heard" pulley intake and exhaust to get like 14.2 or so with a good driver.

19% sc, 3% crank, 21.5 PSI boost at redline in 4th

Ignition system is all MSD and Taylor.

Straight back exhaust with no cat or muffler.

Stock ECU, 400cc injectors, solid motor mounts, etc other small crap.

its lowered 1.5 inches, i run these slicks up front nad run 50 psi on the strret tires in the rear.

The car from the drivers seats back is gutted.

My best run so far has been as follows...

Rt: .574
60': 1.942
330': 5.783
ET: 14.249 @ 93.950mph

I dont know why my top end seems so low.

Its most probably my 22 tall tires, but before i had my slicks on, i was still only trapping about 91-92mph

I'd bet $1 on "Lunatic Fringe" to win.

Those Escort GT wheels look "flat".

Maybe you need some nice Toyo R888

With the 24.5 MT my best n/a run is

60 2.061
330 5.998
660 9.285
mph 74.39
1/4 14.56
mph 93,33

This a stock engine / ecu, only mod is air filter and a one ball exhaust system quaife diff and ally flywheel comp 4 paddle clutch.

Good Luck in the hunt for the 13s, I'm struggling to get into the 11's with nitrous.
