Neither are riding lawn mowers, but I'll bet there are a few that will blow your doors off But ofcourse you wouldn't race them because Minis aren't dragcars

Nope, thats why i have my Mustang.

I'm not going to have any problems with weight transfer in the Mustang!

Yeah, but every time I watch the Olympics I always goggle at the butterfly swimmers. Or race walking. Humans are competative so there's even a race to see who's the fastest at doing something obviously slower.

Why aren't Mini;s drag cars, look what we've achieved with a stock engine and some nos

You're right about the weight transfer is the same for fwd and rwd but in fwd its your worst nightmare due to the tyre trying to lift off the track and lessing the contact patch.

well... yes... inherinetly FWD cars are not drag cars nor is it the ideal set up for drag cars... hell they don't even make good road race cars... think about it... the fastest road race cars in the world are not front wheel drive... If you were going to build a car from scratch and you wanted it to be the fastest car around spa or the nurenburgring or any road race track you would NOT build a front wheel drive car. yes yes... i know the mini is a great car around the road course (from personal experiance) im just saying the car really isn't optimal for any kind of racing... but none the less its fun to RACE. Whether its road racing or drag racing.

On a front wheel drive car in drag racing you DO NOT want the weight to transfer to the rear of the car... If the weight transfers to the rear of the car then you have lost weight over the front tires and a possible loss of traction! It is very important to minimize this weight transer. On a road race car this is entirely differnt!

Just my $.02

I love racing my MINI on a road course or drag racing! I just love racing the darn thing
