First ever 1/4 mile runs

First ever 1/4 mile runs
I took a trip to the drag strip for the first time last night. I prefer to run BP on a road course, but the strip still brought a bunch of smiles . Here's the low down so you guys w/ experience can trash me j/k.
03 MCS
Alta Intake
VGS mod (done yesterday)
225/45/ZR17 Yokohamas @ 38psi cold
I didn't note the temp during the daylight runs, but it was 83 when I looked around 9:00. VERY Humid.
As I understand it the track was said to be very slippery.
I would rev to 4k then dump the clutch. The tires would spin off the line... took me a few runs resist the urge to floor it. I would usually spin them in 2nd briefly.
The best ET I have recorded was 16.106 @ 89.358mph. Not quite what I expected, but it was still fun. There was one run that didn't record for some reason... the guy I beat ran 16.022, so I probably just dipped in the the 15.9 area.
My best 2 reaction times were .036 & .039.
Here is a PDF of all the runs for anyone curious, http://www.emeraldcityminis.com/docs/kds9-1-05.pdf.
My business partner, TOC, was running an 03 is300 with intake & exhaust. We were neck in neck all night... it was sweet!
Sad note: a guy who was there with us drove 5hrs to run his beautiful, heavily modded C5 vette. The first run he ran against his brother's Mach 1 Mustang. He grabbed 2nd, lost traction an backed it into a guard rail . Creased the fiberglass on the rear qtr and marked up the entire backside. I almost cried myself. He shook it off and later beat his brother. Score one for the bow tie... until the SCed Cobra stomped him. Insult to injury I guess.
