Track season
English town opened up a few weeks ago. Does anyone have quarter mile times that they would want to share? I'll be going as soon as i get my secret stuff installed and that should hopefully be by the end of this week
The Texas Motorplex opened up last month. I went out twice. Both times there were a lot of people so only five runs between both days. About 65-70, clear skies. The cooler weather helped the R56 a lot. My first time out, my best was a 14.95, with a 2.3 60'. More recently, with a not-so-good 2.47 60', I ran a 14.85. I need some wider/stickier tires, but I am almost confident that it could run near 14.6 if I could get it to launch better. As it is, I have done more than one smoky launch, and bogged it a couple of times as well. It still ran 14.91-15.21 even with the really bad launches, late shifts (I hit the limiter on all three shifts on the 15.21), leaving the DSC on for one run (ran a 15.11), and aggravation I had on those days.
Oh well, I get to go to my first SCCA meet this weekend. This is the first car I have had that can really turn. Wish me luck.
How bad are the supercharged motors to launch? If ya haven't noticed, I think the turbo one is a little finicky

The last time i went i only had a %15 pulley on my car and a ran 15.1 with like a 3 second 60ft. I forgot what the mph was but the run flat tires are horrible. I got rid of those and put on 16 inch light azz wheels. The total weight of the 17 with runflats was close to 50lbs while my new wheel with tires is around 26lb to 27lb if i remember correctly. I got alot more stuff going in this sunday and hopefully i'll be running better numbers.
