I will never use a chamois again!!!
Before I got my MINI I ordered a waffle weave Micro Fiber Towell and have used it twice on my Jet Black MINI Copper.... No scraching and it is sooooooooo much better than the absorber chamois I have used for many years. I got the towels from Grioits Garage but there is probably a better source that may be cheaper... I do like the hand pockets sewed into the ones I bought. I can now dry my whole MINI streak free with one towel, no ringing out required... I also have some smaller micro fiber rags for quick detailing spray and wax removal.... I am hooked!!!!
I also have been using pure Carbuna (sp?) wax for years but this Zaino stuff sounds interesting but expensive to try out.... Might try it when my current supply runs out.... so does Zaino get that Deep look of the natural stuff????
anyhow we all need to ditch the chamois and go Micor Fiber!!!! you will not regret it.

Not WAX again!!!!
You guys carry on with your smearing layers of wax on your MINI. I'll stick with Eagle One Wax as U Dry, it's the best I've ever used and I've been polishing cars for over 52 years. It is a polymer glazing solution that leaves no swirls and doesn't discolor the black plastic wheel arches. Don't bother defending all the different pastes out there until you've tried my suggestion. Of course, you'll first have the task of getting rid of all that WAX!!
Yes, I know the Eagle One has WAX in it's name but again...it's a polymer glaze. Keep smiling. Plus it's less than $5.

I´ve been using the Meguiars micro fiber towels for over a year now and work wonderful. They are great both for drying your car and removing wax. Only problem is they are very expensive (more than $20 bucks for a little one) and hard to find.
I have found chamois to be most useful in large flat surfaces (like the Mini´s roof and windows - and the whole honda civic) and the meguiars towels works great for the front grille, all the chrome areas and for getting water out of difficult spots

The Towel from Griot's is huge 25" x 35" and is 27 bucks....
Sirron... I will look for the eagle one stuff but I have never had a problem with natural waxes smearing or anything... diffeent strokes for different folks right

Does that 'fight' with wax at all? I'm thinking that would be great for the weekly washing, but I still want to use wax after the semi-monthly clay bar treatment..

sirron - the eagle one has nothing to do with swirls, nor does any wax or polish...that doesn't introduce swirls, it is washing the car that is the main culprit as well as drying the car or buffing the car with a cheap towel.

Microfiber towels are definitely better. I have to still be very careful with my Indi blue MCS and it is very prone to scratches if I am not very careful with anything I use. Gotta be gentle. I would totally wreck my finish if I used any chamois.
Microfiber towels are great. Look for them disguised as other items. I found some fairly large microfiber towels in the Kitchen towels section at Target. They work great, same performance as those marketted for car detailing. They are about 18" x 18", and run around $3.99 each. Good luck.
Hey Jason,
Keep in Mind you don't have to wax your car everytime you wash it. After alot of build up of wax, Your car will actually look dull. Now its hard to understand but believe it. I use to supervise a new car department for a dealership. Try this....
