Wow! that does look fantastic!
Richard, if you need a model for a detailing demonstration at the Dragon, I'll offer you my MINI.

It sure could use that kind of TLC and attention to detail. . . .

Sorry that's all I took. It was coooold! Did I mention it was Brrrr cold!! I didn't shoot many pix cause I had to keep moving to stay warm! Besides, all the fun in watching a detail is seeing what it looked like beforehand and what steps were necessary to restore it!
I'm reposting Touring Comet's Photos from above just to keep inline with the full article (Taken the next day)

I started around 10:30AM and finished about 6PM (took a 30 minute lunch break)
I used the PC with the yellow W8006 pad with Meguiar's M80 Speed Glaze. Two very slow passes was needed. LSP were two coats of Prima Epic.
Meguiar's Professional Blue Clay (Mild)
Meguiar's M80 Speed Glaze Paint Cleaner/Polish
Prima Epic Synthetic Polymer Wax
Meguiar's Endurance High Gloss was used on the tires
Meguiar's Trim Detailer was used for the plastic black vents
Meguiar's NXT All Metal Polysh for exhaust, door handles, chrome headlight surrounds, boot handle
Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer to remove dust from interior panels
Prima Clarity for glass
Bumper Gel was used for the trim
RE: Dragon
Considering that it rained for more than half the days I was at the Dragon last year, the chances of me doing any kind of detailing classes is not very likely. I'm not even certain I'll be there this year.
As far as Denver is concerned, I'm planning on making a trip up to see DetailersParadise this year--as soon as it warms up and the snow goes away I'll be there--and maybe I can arrange some details while I'm there.
It's a 15 hour drive, got to make it worth while ya know? LOL

Ohhh I see the order! Thanks! I'll try to get it out today. I've got a 1999 Porsche Boxster coming in about an hour to work on--so if I can't get it out today, it'll definitely go out in the morning.
Thanks!! Stay warm.
Richard

You've been teasing about a trip to Denver, but now that I see it in writing I'm holding you to it!!
I'm sure we can have a fully booked detailing schedule for you when you arrive too. Your reputation is quite widespread and the Denver area is no exception!
See ya when the weather warms. (you big wimp!)

Meguiar's Professional Blue Clay is considered Mild and it cuts a little faster than the normal consumer clay. Not that there was a lot of bonded contaminants to remove on this car, I guess it was just personal preference. I use both, but usually if time is of the essence, I will choose the blue clay.

Haha thanks, wait till you see what I worked on today--hint 1999 Midnight blue Porsche Boxster that looks blue, purple, and green all at once with 100,000+ miles, key scratches, major swirls, a dent, and lots more scratches---13 hours.....
Haha I always (most of the time anyways) keep my promises!!
Aww I'm not a BIG wimp! Call me a Medium Wimp!
Thanks!!!
Richard

Beautiful work, Richard!
I was watching your video again last night to prepare for my next big detailing project. It is a pretty abused ML500 and to top it off it's black. It should be a lot of fun and I'm bound to use every trick I've learned from you. Thanks again for all the detailing posts over the years and for making a great How-To Video.

That's awesome, good luck with that. There is an excellent chance that even more good things will be happening by the end of this week. Got some good news yesterday about my shop and my partner. Will let you know as soon as I can make some announcements.
Absolutely! That's exactly what I was thinking about. It was really wild.
Hahah, not offended at all. I've watched it hundreds if not thousands of times, and even I fell asleep through it. There is so much info, it takes you right up and past brain saturation. I'm always amazed to read how people have watched it once or even twice in one sitting.
