Tips for Zainoing after a year

Hi everyone! I did a full zaino application (dawn, claybar, polish, polish, polish) over a year ago, then went to Korea while my wife kept the MINI clean...ish. (: She'd never be as dedicated as I am, but that's ok.

Anyways, I'm back Stateside, and ready to get the MINI looking as good as she can.

The Zaino is still kinda sorta beading up, but it needs some work, of course! So, how far should I go? I will be doing the clay bar thing again at a minimum, but is there anything I need to do before that? Will Dawn take off the old Zaino and leave me back at bare clearcoat? Or should I just wash it with regular car wash, then clay bar, and zaino a couple times?

I would do a nice car wash, clay, polish, and just zaino over your old. no need to
remove the old zaino unless it's contaminated with oils and crap.

I would say you should be fine at minimum just washing and putting on another coat of Z2, but if you want to clay you're going to have to remove everything.

So you should dawn wash, clay, (optionally polish at this point), rinse off the lube or polish, then zaino.
