Try Detailing This One!

I was just going through some pictures. Came across this picture my wife took of me detailing our 'over the road' tractor when I was home for a few days.

We sold it last January. I am back in aviation now.

Hahah, well I'm sure glad it's not black! LOL. One of my colleagues created a team of detailers to clean and wax something like 40 yellow school buses in one day--buses rolled in and out, and he had to also bring his own generators, water, and water reclamation equipment of all that runoff. They all had PC's and used bug sprayers to dress the wheels!

It is amazing to watch the truck wash do there thing. A good shop can turn a tractor trailer in 15 minutes...that is with a hand wash.

The only problem is they do not dry them off.

Well if they are using DI water, they don't need to dry them off. LOL.

But I wonder what they are doing to the paint in 15 minutes??? Look at this MINI, the owner thought using a truck brush was a great idea to wash his car.

It took a lot of work to restore that paint!

I am by no means saying they do not hurt the paint. It is just a tool, they only make money with all 18 turning and not sitting for a day getting washed and waxed.

I would never use a brush on any of my personal toys.

What did you do to restore that Mini's paint? It looks great!!

It is like standing in the batters box with a weight on the bat. Take the weight off and swing the bat at home plate....light as a feather.

Wash the truck first and the Mini is a breeze.

Thanks kenchan, it was not cheap but that was not the problem. The real problem is at least home values hold.....her value goes now where but down and down fast.

I'd love to see a picture of your MINI next to your BIG rig.

We sold the big rig before picking up the Mini but if we had it there would have been pictures for sure.
