I know it's not a MINI but I'm detailing my sisters Honda and her white paint is in pretty bad shape. I have 3 levels of polish and I use a DA polisher. I started with the harshist and now am on the middle polish. The paint is not where I expect it to be at this stage.

Here's the question. Should I wash the car again to get rid of the excess oxidized paint or should I continue on to the finest grade polish? I know its kind of silly, I could just wash the car and leave it at that. But I was wondering if this seems normal with paint in poor condition.

I keep up on all my cars and am not used to cars that have never been waxed, polished, or even cleaned very often.

Thanks
Spence

Never mind... since nobody responded I went a head an washed it. It did seem to get rid of some of the excess paint dust and it reassures that I'm not picking up any residual polish.
