Howdy kids,
I could use some advise. While washing Basil, I noticed something splashed on the passenger's side that did not wash off. I poked at it, and scraped with a fingernail under the microfiber cloth, and did get a few of them to leave. They were white, and had a consistency approaching rubber cement. I'm wondering if I got some paint from the guys painting stripes in the neighborhood on my car? Is there a good way to remove this without hurting the finish? Basil is only a month and a half old, so has only the finish that came from the factory.... I know, I should have put some zaino on it as soon as I took delivery.
Thanks in advance for you help!

+1 ^^
Just take your time and keep kneeding the clay. It might take several passes with the clay, but keep it lubed and go slow and the clay should eventually grind it off.

I would give Goo Gone as well as clay a try. The Meguiar's Mild Professional clay--blue clay is probably best--the regular grey/white consumer clay may not sufficiently work well, or you may try a number of passes and think it's not working--when it is---just doing is very lightly at a time.
Note that picking at the particles, even behind a MF towel can still scratch the finish--I've seen it happen.
