They actually make an interior brush for dashes, so the small one probably is the interior brush.

I just trird one of the blue OXO dusters and am real disappointed. Instead of using a wax it relies more on an oily substance. Sure, it cleans wonderfully, but leaves residual oily streaks. What a pain. I will start soaking it on a towel/newspaper in an effort to suck out some of the oil. Not as initially friendly at the Cal Duster. Time will tell.

Yep - I drained an INCREDIBLE amount of oily gunk out of my OXO duster on really heavy kraft paper like 4 times over 3 days - and it's still pretty oily - I need to drain it some more... I like the design of it, but if it doesn't dry out some more it's not going to be wonderful...

yep, i have one that ive been using since 1997. and its working
flawlessly. I had one that i got back in 95.. that one i tossed as it
had too much crap on it and the threads were getting kinda hard.

This new one replaces that.

jep, i have that too. actually it works great on cleaning
LCD's and stereo equipment inside the house too. i wouldn't recommend
it on fabrics.

Just picked up my California Duster last night. My friend (Miata owner..boooo) swears by it. Picked up some clay too, to get the nasty bugs off of her, and some microfiber towels.

I just got mine today. It was only $9.99 at Target . Didn't the older ones have a wooden handle?

Mine is just chillin' on top of a stack of old magazines.

those things are great, I've had one for about 10 years and it is just great, they also make some for the interior as well which are very good to get the dust out.

i use the plastic handle ones too. you can wrap the handle with
tennis racket grip tape if you'd like to make it more meaty and slip
resistant. thats wat i did on mine.

Ive been usingthem for years on a number of cars including black ones. If it was going to cause a problem it would have been then. Try their waterblade as well . Cuts down washing your own car by about 50%

^^ if you use Hydro on the paint the final rinse will sheet off if you give it
a nice stream (not spray).

you wont need your blade any more. i have a griots paintblade but rarely
use it these days. only on glass some times.

Blades are best for glass, and as Ken said, a nice coat of Epic or Hydro should sheet the water off almost as well as the blade, without the danger of scrathcing you paint (the blade wont, but anything left on the paint will.) I want to try to dry my car with compressed air this weekend, we'll see how it goes.

Eh... I have two coats of Epic on my MINI and it still beads up when I wash it. So the Jelly Blade works great when drying--cuts the drying time in half and I can use one waffle weave to dry both MINIs.

By the way, I tried the Griots blade (x 2) and hated it. The foam blade came out of the grip constantly.

Re: California Duster, I use it at least twice a week and it's great. It's Especially useful this time of year with all the nasty yellow pollen flying around.

CR&PW- on the griot's paint blade, try taking all downward pressure off
the foam and just lightly glide the blade over the surface. it works better
when you have no downward pressure (the exact opposite of the cali-blade).

Thanks. I thought I was applying the proper amount of pressure (very little) but maybe I've been eating too much spinach. I have the Cali Jelly Blade now and I love it... works great ! Maybe it's my technique that makes it so easy to use and made the Griot's blade fall apart.

I have the big Duster and the little Duster for my interior. I use them for shows when my car gets dusty sitting there. I use the little one for cleaning my interior. I also have the jelly blade. Good for getting the water off the roof. (I have an xB and the roof is flat so the water doesn't go anywhere...)

didn't we talk before about hot melting the foam into the holder? hehe.

oh yah, not sure if you saw this or not, but i drilled 2 holes on the handle
and made it hang onto the back of the griot's cart.
