grit guard users?
I am mentally making a list of stuff I need to get and started wondering if I should get a grit guard. I had figured up until now, that what I was doing - spraying my wash mitt clean with the hose after each time I soap up a section of the car and before I put it in the soap bucket again - was better than dipping a mitt with dirt into the bucket, grit guard or not. Is it time for the next step of my education?
Wash mitts - Is a sheepskin mitt better at releasing grit than a MF mitt? I'm guessing it is better, but I need some OC advice.
Also, when your car is dirty... been driving in the salt and yuck and can really see a coating of mud and road skum... How many sq ft of painted area do you drag your mitt over before rinsing and getting a new load of suds.

And as for your comment about ironed towels and embroidered mitts - are you saying we're just a little ****???
And, no. I would not have the wash mitt embroidered. The embroidery would probably scratch!!
I saw this thread a bit late.
best solution is to purchase US Plastics incredibly high quality and nice colourful buckets and also two separate grit guards. I matched my buckets to my car
they came super fast are very durable and well built. the grit guards are 100% necessary as they allow you to be confident that you arent scooping up junk. I use them to rub off possible grit from the lambs wool every time I place my mitt into the bucket.

buckets full of water and not have to pick it up and move it around.
(no, that is not lazy, that is being efficient!)
