Matching Dash Scratches

Hope someone can help. My hyper blue 06 MCS has the matching dash and bezel. Any thoughts on what to use to protect it from scratches? No permanent ones so far but my laptop bag flew off (stopped a little too quick) and I had a panic attack when I saw a long white scuff. It wiped off OK but there has to be some kind of coating on there that protected it. Know what it is or what I can use to keep it safe?

Thanks!

Wish I could suggest some product, but the fact is that our beloved MINIs will get small scuffs and scratches. The best thing you can do in the long run is to not place things where they can become a flying object (laptop on the floor) and not become obsessed with the small mishaps that will happen. Life is too short to be overly stressed by the small things in life. I suppose you could wrap the dash and most everything else in your car with some protective wrap, but then it would not look as good.

Eventually we all start to look old and worn. It's the result of living or being driven. It gives a person/car character.

Guess you're right. After that incident laptop, purse and everything else has stayed in the boot. DaMini is still only a few months old and I'm trying to take care of her the best I can. I'm thinking we'll be together for quite awhile . I spend a lot of time in her. I picked her up Memorial Day weekend and have 4500 miles already. Quite often we get in the car to take a ride and end up several states away. We never leave home with an overnight bag in the boot! Thanks for the reality check!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the matching parts of the dash are painted and smooth, and therefore if you're crazy enough you can wax them with zaino etc. Or heck, even a custom clearbra! I guess that would your best protection against flying laptops!

yeah, just put stuff away before you drive in a "spirited" fashion, thats what the boot is for!
