Abrasive Scale

Somebody posted a list of polishes in order of abrasiveness from mild to agressive and now I can't find it.

Does anyone have/remember that link?

That will vary by manufacturer...whose products do you plan on using?

Maybe I'm having a senior moment, but I'm sure I remember reading here on NAM a list of several different makers' products in ascending order of abrasiveness.

Did I save it in my Favorites list? Of course not.

From the detailing sticky at the top of this forum

Least Abrasive
• Paintwork Cleanser (Sonus makes a good one)
• 3M Swirl mark Remover
• 3M Finesse It II
• Scratch-X (Meguiars)
• Fine-Cut Rubbing Compound
• Medium Rubbing Compound
• Rubbing Compound (I leave this one to the professionals and won’t let myself buy any because I’d probably do some damage)
Most Abrasive

Most Abrasive
This list comes from my "Detailed Detailing process" thread, but I've switched my products now to eliminate the guess work between the abrasive-ness of various products.

I now use the 3 part Sonus SFX line. They were made to work together as a system, so you don't have to guess as you move from product line to product line and manufacturer to manufacturer.

SFX-1 Restore: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/son-410.html
SFX-2 Enhance Swirl Remover: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/son-420.html
SFX-3 Final Finish Polish: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/son-430.html

I still keep a tube of Meguiars Scratch-X around... It's just too handy for small touch-ups.
