Here's the deal. When I roll either window down and back up it gets streaked on the inside front 1/3 of the window. I cleaned the wiper off yet it keeps happening. Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do about it?

 

I just noticed this recently as well but I haven't done anything about it yet. It happens even after washing the car.

I have an 07/05 build MCS.

 

I too noticed this. It seems to have just crept up over the last month or so, two at the most.

It also seems to be just the drivers side for me.

I haven't had this problem before...my MCS is an '05.

 

I've had this problem on my '05 MCS. It only happend after I washed the car or had been through a drive-thru during wet weather. In my case, it appears that the inside felt got wet when the window was rolled down. For about a week afterward I would get the streaks on my window until the felt was dried out.

 

I have an 02 cooper and have the same problem... I was told by another mini owner that the dealer can "align" the window.. I guess there is a shim or something that can be put in. I never noticed it before, but there is a little rattle when the window lowers when you open the door... I guess the alignment will take the rattle out also...

 

Yea, it does seem to happen more when the car gets wet. Its like water has got to the inside of the door somehow. I'll ask about aligning the window because I do have a little rattle in it also. I just wonder if there is another wiper or guide inside the door thats messing up the glass?
