1) I've clayed my car 6 months ago and there was a huge difference in the smoothness noticable with my fingers.....but I've heard of the baggie test but is this test done with the car dry or with the car wet with the claying lubricant?

2) For the windshield, I have clayed that in the past and then used Zaino Z6...if I do use Z2 after claying first, has ther ebeen any problem with the Z2 causing the windshield wipers to chatter as they sweep across?

 

i just gently rub my finger across the clean paint surface to do the 'clean as glass' test.

i don't know about wipers chattering, but if it does, i recommend you do
a light coat of RainX. that will smooth everything out.

 

I have done the Zaino thing on the windshield (still use it on the sides) but the abrasion of the blades wears it off. I am not an advocate of waxing a windshield.

 

I Z2 all of my glass and have not noticed the chattering. Maybe it's just time for a wiper cleaning (303 makes a cool product that comes on a pad like the alcohol swabs they use in Doctor's offices) or new wipers?

 

Oh yeah... I do the baggie test w/ a squirt of Z6 detailing spray.

 

Yea, I swear by the 303 Wiper Blade Conditioner Pads! I apply them a few times a year.
