How to get rid of interior door shoe scuffs?

Hey everyone...since I rarely have the space to open the door to full capacity, I have scuffed the interior of the drivers door with my shoes, on both the matte portion of the door near the bottom and the shiny, oval anthracite portion. I'm not sure what, if anything can be applied to remove these grey scuffs. I can include pictures later today if that would be easier...any suggestions?

I just use a damp sponge and follow up with the vinyl protectant of choice. If it's SCRATCHED, this will make it look better but won't fix it.
