Black marks on interior pillars?

Black marks on interior pillars?
What should I use to remove? I have the standard light grayish roof and there are black smudge looking things on my pillars that dont want to come off. Any suggestions?

Mr. Clean magic eraser! It's excellent.

Just don't ever use it on paint or a glossy surface, since it's mildly abrasive.
