Anyone familiar with Collinite Wax Products?
#1
A long time friend of the family, who has been a car afficionado for many years, recommended that I use Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845 on my MINI for an excellent protectant, shine, and durable finish.
Although I have no real reason to distrust him (ALL of his many cars ALWAYS look fabulous), I've never heard of this product before and was looking for some re-assurance that it is a good product.
Anyone have any input - good or bad? TIA.

Just purchased #845 Collonite insulator wax for my MCS. I'll let you know how it is. It's not a carnauba wax so it won't stain the black bits. A friend uses it religously on his car and I saw the results (very nice). He only uses it every 6 months and water beads for 6 months on it. Seems like a nice little find to me.

Collinite started out as a marine and aircraft "wax". It's polymer based, and not soft like carnuba wax, which can get lil tiny bits stuck in it, even when you thought you buffed it all off.
We used Collinite on our fiberglass boat and it worked very well. We live near Annapolis, so all boating is done in salty water. Collinite protected very well.
I've not tried their auto products, so I can't give first hand info on them. They are probably formulated the same as their other products, so my guess is that it's good stuff for keeping your car looking it's best.
