Rear wiper drip ?

My 2006 MCS drips water from the rear widow washer jet every time I drive it. Makes a mess on the rear window and hatch. Does anyone else have this problem? I have never used the rear washer / wiper and it still does it every time. HELP

I don't have that problem with my '05 MCS, but I have noticed that if I use it, and don't get a chance to wash within a few days, I get some oxidation/calcification looking residue on the chrome beltline right beneath it. I had to clean this off with a metal polish.

Sounds like you need to make a visit to your local dealership.

My squirters rarely squirt when I use them. I have cleaned out the tips numerous times. This eventually fixes them...for a week or so. Grrrr!

Had the same problem when my '05 was new. I think it may be related to the OEM fluid as when I switched/refilled with the pepboys brand stuff it stopped. Now It doesn't leak at all!

this has always been a problem from what i gather. what you want to do is get rid of all the stock washer fluid and put in something else. some of the light colour cars paint will be stained from that fluid, such as my PW/B was when i first got it and is again because i forgot or was to lazy to replace the old fluid.

Mine doesn't drip when not in uses, but seems to drip after the blades stops moving. That little line that seems to form, drives me nuts.

I've noticed mine doing the same thing. Drives me bonkers.

Good solution to that problem is taking the rear wiper off.

Well I must keep mine, I only ever have it make a mess when I use it, but the air and roads ariund here are so dirty that I'm wiping down the boot on a regular basis.

I'm with mathewweiss (owner of the official first WMS exhaust!! woohoo). I did the wiper removal because my 05 wiper kept leaking fluid that mixed really nicely with the dust and grit that accumulated on the rear window, especially on the edge under the window. And think about this--when you have all that dust and grime on your rear window, why would you want to hit the rear wiper switch and wipe all that crud all over your rear window? Mmm, even *if* I had a rear wiper, I'd never turn it on...

cheers,
phil (rear wiperless for months, and loving it...)

I will try switching fluid and see if that helps. Thanks all for the input.

Is there any updates on this? It's so frustrating that after I drive for a while when I look at the rear view mirror I will see the droplets of water on the rear window. The rear washer jet just decided to squirt a few gushes by itself
