First Porter Cable orbital polish/wax.

All I can say is, unbelievable. I got the PC 7424 from autopia on a deal, and worked on my car a couple weeks ago. As of today, it's still as great as then! I did the following.

Wash car.
Clay car.
Polish the car with the PC with Menzerna Final Polish II.
Hand apply two layers of Zaino Z2 with spritz's of Z6 between.

Took about 4 hours, but the results are wonderful! It's still smooth and slick like the day I did it all. The PC really sped up the job.. If only I had an extra orbital pad to apply the Zaino with, and I would have done it in half the time! I also think the Menzerna FP2 did a decent job at removing most of the swirl marks. I think the next time I'll do it a little longer on the hood. Has anyone used a different polish before Zaino?

Many! I have a cabinet full of different brands. But the important thing is to find what works for you and it sounds like you did.

Don't ya just love slick paint!

Rune I am downright envious!

With the coming of Spring to Chicago, my "buy a 7424" demon has already come out of hibernation and started whispering in my ear again, dang it.

I am so Jonesin' the Slick Paint fix,
Tatt

Ya, I hadn't polished or waxed all winter, and it was starting to show. I was in the same boat, whether or not to get the 7424, and I just had to do it. Not one regret, except now I'm consistently QDing my MINI! I can't get over the slickness.
