Ziebart - Diamond Gloss, anyone use?

Opinions on this? My friend just got this done on his new Acura and it does look nice and shiny. They says it protects from:
Acid Rain

Damaging UV Rays

Salt

Water spotting

Bird droppings

Pollution

Bug splatters

Tree sap

Mud & dirt

My friend said the last time he did it, it lasted for about 6 months and did a real good job. if it really does protect this well, it might not be a bad idea for over the winter for me. I don't have a garage and when it gets cold I won't be out there detailing my new mini as often as I am sure I should. The DC area is salt-happy during the winter months. What my friend paid was reasonable (in my opinion)

Any mini users do this? Is this a waste? Thanks!

Great marketing hype! Even the best polymers, Zaino for instance, will offer great protection against those elements but any product that says it can STOP those elements is lying.

And the level of shine and protection after so many months is all relevant. You need to compare. I haven't used Ziebart but I think I know who supplies it to them (it's re-labeled) and I don't give it as much credence as other available brands.
