I commute home yesterday, get out of the mc and walk around to the passenger side to grab my camera bag from the seat and low and behold the lower side of the car from front tire to the rear tire and beyond is splatterd with PURPLE PAINT!!! Somewhere on the commute home I unknowingly drove through paint.

I did not freak out, but remained calm, examined the paint - latex house or craft paint - and opened the boot for my Armor All Orange Wipes.

Good god what a mess and on a three week new car!

Fortunately I had given the car a very good waxing three days after I bought it and with gentle rubbing the paint came off the red body. It sort of peeled off, which confirmed that it was latex based, and it seems that it wasn't on the car for long. I had to rub a little harder on the sill and in the wheel wells, but I did get it all, except for what was on the tread of the tires. I figure that will wear off with lots of motoring

The whole process did take forty five minutes though. The Armor All Orange wipes worked, but is there another product I could have or should have used and that could have saved time? It was 98 degrees and I was on asphalt.

The orange wipes worked, so be grateful. Paint shops use detailing clay to remove paint overspray, etc, but I don't know how it would be on large blobs of paint.

It's very likely that the orange wipes and the scrubbing took the wax off, along with the paint. Make sure that you wash the area well, clay bar if there are any remaining bits of paint, and re-wax as soon as you comfortably can.
