Carpet Cleaning

Can anyone offer some advice on how to best clean the carpet around the pedals? Some crusty junk has developed around the winter mats (salt, sand, hard water). It doesn't entirely vacuum out.

Thx.

I know I've ranted about this before, but I just LOVE this stuff! It amazes me every time I use it! It keeps the light grey carpets in my Carrera looking showroom clean! I have found nothing better.

And it takes care of the "crusty stuff", too. I know exactly what you mean! I spray and use a tooth brush to break it up in the small areas around the seams.

I have a good relationship with a professional carpet cleaner..he does my office...area rugs at home..my parents house..

Anyway, periodically when doing a full detail on one of the cars I'll have him over to do the carpets. Takes about 20 minutes, costs about $50 for all 3 cars at once..results that I've never been able to match using home brew methods. Always best to arange it around his schedule - IOW when he's in my neighborhood anyway...

What's a good way to shampoo the carpet.
I vaccum my car regularly and I have floor mats, the carpet doesn't have any stains or anything, but I think a nice shampoo would be nice.
Any reccomendations?

Go to the link I mentioned above! That's how it works. A light spray overall. Brush in, wipe off, vacuum.

The only other option that "foams" is Woolite Heavy Traffic foaming cleaner.
