Menzerna FMJ

I've been a Zaino user for quite a while and I'm very happy with the results that I'm getting. I was wondering through the Metroplex (Dallas/ForthWorth) MINI club site and saw someone mention Menzerna FMJ, a synthetic polymer system that was released in Dec 2003.

I've heard very good things about the Menzerna polishes (http://www.properautocare.com/mengerbespol.html) but I had never heard of FMJ before yesterday (http://www.properautocare.com/menzernafmj.html).

Has anyone used this before? Compaired it to Zaino / Klasse ?

Thanks!

I have noticed that the car care kit does not come with a quick detailer. Any suggestions/comments there too would be appreciated.

Thx.

I used FMJ on test panels for about 4 months and I gave it to my sister for her Audi A4.

It was "ok" but not blown away. Went on easy, wiped off easy. The test panels dulled down fairly quickly but not nearly as quickly as NXT "pseudo polymers" or any carnauba.

No decent cleaning properties. But didn't expect any. Low solvent content, but there are solvents in it.

As far as durability, Zaino still will hold up longer under more hot washes (a test I do) more shampoo washes, (another test) and regular rinsing before dulling or beading reduces.

Brad (or anyone),

How do you rate the Menzerna compounding and polishing products?

Just bumping this thread because it does seem like there are a lot of people who like the Menzerna products (I see it come up on other forums) and I'm curious about it.

And, fwiw, I never give my cars hot washes

FMJ is a great product when applied over a properly prepared FPII finish. The shine and durability is not on par with Zaino Z5pro on dark cars. (Z5pro has slight fillers) Z2 and FMJ on white, I cant see an initial difference and havent tested the long term durability.

In my eyes, now, nothing beats Z5pro topped with Natty's blue on darks
or Z2pro topped with FK1 Pink Wax on whites.
