Aquapel Glass Treatment ...
Has anyone heard of and/or used this stuff? What do you think? Did it work? Cleaning glass and keeping it clear is the biggest headache (except for keeping the boot clean). Thanks
Yes, it's great stuff! I've used it for years and it lasts a lot longer than Rain-X. Just be sure that your windshield is perfectly clean before application and that includes removing old Rain-X. No Touch Auto Glass Stripper works fine or even Bon Ami.
I get my Aquapel through eBay. A bit cheaper than what Tire Rack is asking.

AquaPel is a great product but not woth the money that a dealer will charge to apply. Fortunately it is readily availabe on eBay and really easy to apply yourself. Besure the your windshield is really clean and follow the directions.
Lasts about 6 months and is as good as RainX. There's some re-braded applicators out there that are exactly the same but even cheaper if you can find some.

searocko mentioned using Bon Ami to clean the windshield...any chance that it would cause some fine scratches?

I've used STP Visionblade and it is the same thing, right down to the applicator. If you have large bullseye chips, you'd be best to have them filled in beforehand. Don't worry about the small nicks.
