Hey all. New to this forum and Mini ownership (2006 MCS, manual, 82k miles, 1 owner). However, I have a Toyota Tundra and from being on that forum and owning a detailing business, I am frequently contributing to the detailing subsection on that forum. Just showing my face here and letting folks know I have a solid knowledge base in detailing, focusing primarily on paint corrections, ceramic coatings, and grimy interior transformations. So feel free to ask any questions if ya got 'em! I'll see if I can sneak some of my stickied posts from over there onto here for a section I did on interior work and how to clean really grimy interiors without breaking the bank.
Some examples of my work to show I'm not some hack lol:
I very much enjoy spending hours in the garage cleaning, polishing and generally making my cars look great. I enjoy it so much I've been thinking about doing part time detailing on the side. My biggest "insecurity" in detailing is paint polishing. I have 3 cars in my care - 2 white cars and my yellow/white R53, so although they all look great (for daily driven, older cars) I want to verify my polishing technique on a dark colored car before I "go live" in the business.
For now I'm just constantly trying out new products (it seems I have packages coming from Autogeek every week) and refining my processes.

I admire the work you professional detailers do!
That's awesome. It's definitely a passion of mine. I forgot to mention my business is also just a side gig as I have a full time job too lol. It can be challenging getting started at first, but it is rewarding turning some nasty cars back to a new condition.
Polishing takes time to learn, that's for sure. But, with how far dual action polisher technology has come, anyone can learn relatively safely. Do you own a polisher? I have three machines (Dewalt rotary, Griots G9 DA, and Griots G8 DA) and hundreds of dollars invested in quality Lake Country pads.
It's only part time with me, but when I go for something I go all in and it has paid off. Im mainly mobile, which has helped a lot. Also built this trailer setup to keep things organized. Was pricey, but well worth it for the organization and quick access to my tools and products.
