They and Griot's and Meguiars are all just fine. I've been using Griot's for a dozen or so years and am very happy with it. Even got to visit them in Tacoma once.

I've used Mother's for years ... paste cleaner wax, detailer spray, clay bar, metal polish, polishing compound .... happy with results ... recently tried their ceramic spray on ...

if considering the newer spray on ceramic stuff - Mother's is CMX - there are a number of YouTube videos comparing the performance of various similar products

surprising results from the Turtle Wax product ... which costs less ....

Griots used to be available from them direct only ... now I see some of their products at my local auto part store ... they had a loyal following while they stayed 'exclusive' .. lost some luster when they went main stream but their stuff IS good . . https://www.griotsgarage.com/

The real hardcore detailers all seem to use obscure mail order only stuff that costs eleventy hundred dollars. But Mother's is a decent store bought consumer product for 80% of the time. And they sponsor commercial free Formula 1 feeds in the U.S., so I like patronizing them just for that reason.

Just picked up the Mother's CMX Ceramic Spray Coating yesterday. I have been using the Turtle Wax Hybrid product and it look pretty good on the Chili Red Mini but was having a really hard time getting it to not streak on my black Jag, though it still looked pretty good. They're both crystal clean at the moment so I need to wash them again with kitchen detergent to help remove the Mother's product for good bonding of the CMX. I'll repost afterwards and post a pic or two.

I generally used a mix of Griott's and Chemical Guys. I have some Mother's and Meguire's products mixed in there too. They are all fine for the hobbyist.

My opinion is that car cleaning products are a lot like engine oil. Almost all of it will do the job just fine. Buy what you like.

Totally impressed with the Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Wax product. My black Jag has been sitting in the driveway for a while and is usually prone to dust/dirt buildup. Hit it with just spray from the garden hose today and dried it with microfiber towels and it came up sparkling. I have applied two coats of the Mother's CMX to my MINI but have yet to wash it or have it rain so I don't yet have an opinion on its hydrophobic properties. I have to admit that neither product provides a real smooth, slippery surface like carnauba, i.e., no friction post-wax. Doesn't mean they're not protecting but seems odd to me.

Wrong on both counts but what do I know....Have 244K miles on my MINI same factory engine / parts / drivetrain and still looks like it came out of the showroom driving / handling better and much quicker than it did out of the showroom,,,,,lol.

Used to detail high end cars long before I worked at ECS, used direct distributor 3M products for body work and they were the best. For the normal detail and no body work I use chemical guys, we carry some griots now so I will test those out.
