How do you clean in the vents?

Hi,

I just bought a very nice 06MCS convertible. I was detailing the car and everything is looking great but inside the vents! Can you take them out? or pop them off? Should I get a large pipe cleaner or toothbrush? Thanks for any help.

Twist them to the right.
Get a detailing brush.

I use an old shaving brush to dust mine. Doesn’t take up much space in the glove compartment.d

This is my good one that I actually use for shaving. The cheap one I keep in the car has longer bristles.

I haven't tried this but it looks like it would work.

I use long q-tips and a strong shop vac. A MF towel with some type of dressing will capture most of the dust on the vent lovers.

Foam paint brushes here strayed with APC. If prior person was a smoker, there may be ash down in there. Full force blowing outward plus vac sucking out at the same time. Don’t forget about the inside air filter either. Change it out.

Looks suspiciously similar to a jar of "snot" my 5 year old received from a friend for his birthday last month.

This looks exactly like like the stuff I get from the computer shop to clean my keyboard. Works awesome on that so I'm guessing it should work on vents. Just watch as it gets sticky.gooey as it wears out.
