Name Your Top Products 2013

This topic was addressed a few years ago, but I wanted to start a new thread for this year.

Name your top 5 detailing product discoveries of 2013 (Christmas is coming and i'm compiling my MINI X-mas list ) Include a short sentence or two explaining what you like about each product.

I'll start with mine:

1. Prima Hydro - Why? Because this stuff is amazing. It keeps my wax looking beautiful between waxes. Super easy to apply and it's safe on all parts of my MINI. Also, it takes hardly any time to do, making it my quickest and easiest detail step.
2. Griot's Speedshine - My favorite quick detailer. Nicely removes dust and leaves behind a nice shine. It's slick and provides great lubricity for claying, too. Which brings me to number #3
3. Griot's Paint Cleaning Clay - I'm not a claying expert, but this stuff is great for my purposes. It's pliable, you get a ton, and it works!
4. Griot's Waffle-Weave Microfiber Towel - Doesn't scratch my paint and I can dry my MINI with one towel without having to wring it out.
5. Meguiar's Quik Interior Detail - Leaves a new-looking matte finish on all interior points while leaving behind a fresh lemon sent. Best of all, it cleans my black leatherette seats without any sticky residue.

5. ONR - Optimum No Rinse. I'm in CA and my MINI's are garaged, so they collect more dust than dirt. ONR is a real time saver.
4. Black Wow - Not new for 2013, but worth a mention. Keeps my plastic trim in great condition. The only negative is, I can't mask off the plastic when polishing because not even tape can stick to plastic that has been conditioned.
3. Speedy prep sponge. Clay alternative. Although it's faster than claying, I still have to use Griots clay for some tough spots. But because of the time I save, it makes my list.
2. Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. Easy on/off. Durable. Great shine.
1. Carpro Iron-X - Works so good, you think it's not safe. If you have burnt, caked on brake dust on your wheels, iron-x melts it off. Lightly scrub with a brush and your calipers will look new. Iron-X is safe on your cars paint. If you have spots that clay can't remove, use Iron-X to decontaminate.

Great list Britt_r56. I also use Griots Speedshine & clay. And I mix Hydro with Hydro Seal for my spray wax when drying my car.

All from Griot's in no particular order -

Water blade - gets 90% of the water off the car with ease
Spray on wax - use after the water blade when drying the car. Helps in between waxings.
3" random orbital - gets to the tight places the 6" cannot and is perfect for motorcycles (I'm lazy)
Chrome wheel cleaner - really worked to clean the stainless steel/chrome wires on my Triumph TR6. Spray, light brush, hose off. (Hopefully nobody has chrome wire wheels on their MINI.)
Long life tire dressing - not too shiny but stays on after the first rain/wash

Nice list. I'm a big fan of Griot's as well. I use their regular Wheel Cleaner (the green stuff) since I have black spoke rims. It's an excellent product - gentle and safe on all rims. I'm glad to hear that the Chrome cleaner works great, too. I recently tried their Vinyl & Rubber Dressing for the tires along with the Rubber Cleaner. Both are great. That dressing leaves a nice matte finish. I may try the Long-Lasting Tire Dressing next.

Griot's just had a 15% off sale and free shipping on orders over $125. I stocked up with six gallons of various products in bulk. Free shipping on 50 pounds from Washington state to Virginia is a good deal.
