Making red look darker

Hi
I thought I read awhile back a polish or wax that seems to make the Red look a shade or 2 darker.
Can anyone help me out on what it might be.
Thanks for the Help.
John

I would think any glaze with a lot of oils or polish with a lot of concealers to mask swirls will probably make the color darker.

Not really an expert on this but I've owned two red vehicles and my very favorite wax for red is Collinite (either #915 or #476). It gives red a deep luster and lasts longer than anything. It contains carnauba (#915 has a higher content than the #476) and I think this does indeed darken the red a bit. Not a wipe on wipe off wax however...i.e., it takes a little elbow grease.
