Bought a Klasse kit - wow
I bought a Klasse kit (includes all-in-one and gloss sealant plus pad/towers) and I must say wow.
I want to thank who ever mentioned this (sorry couldn't find the thread again).
I don't know too much about detailing product (usually use mother's), but this stuff is nothing short of amazing.
At this point I've only used the all-in-one as I ran out of day light. I've applied 3 coat so far and it just gets better every time. I'll probably put another coat tomorrow, then use the gloss sealant. Once thats cured, I'll apply a coat of mother's pure carnuaba wax (I've read that somewhere this will put more protection).
My impression of all-in-one:
- much easier to put on and off (compare to carnuaba wax).
- no white stuff, at all.
- plastic friendly.
- liquid look - its difficult to explain this, but the shine is not as bright as carnuaba wax, rather its very deep(depth) looking. It seems to make my chilly red darker looking.
- Cheap, got the package for $34.
verdict? - my very first show car (on my drive way
).

>>Dang, leer, you're going to have one fantastically shiny MINI!!!!!
>>
>>PS...I use Klasse, too!!
Thanks, its awsome stuff. By the way, I'd finished my 4th coat, then applied the glosser. Again, wonderful stuff. Then I put a finishing Carnuaba wax (mother's pure carnuaba) coat and its amazing! If you haven't tried it yet, I would highely recommend it!
Cheers.

I've been trying to decide between Klasse & Zaino. Glad to finally hear some MINI-specific feedback on the Klasse results.
BTW...where did you find the package for $34?

>>I got it at Autogeek.com - they have tons of other stuff (and what looks like zaino competitor).
_______________
I believe it is
autogeek.net. $12.95 for a 10 oz bottle. By the way, the All-In-One, being acrylic should not IMHO be mixed with carnauba wax topping. Why do you need it after 3 coats acrylic?

zgokart,
There was no reason. As mentioned before, I'm clueless about detailing a car. The only reason that I decided to do that was after reading someone elses review (there was a thread here with a link, which someone did a test by sectioning off his car to test various product). The reviewer mentioned that it could further protect the car.
Since waxing the car, I've washed the car twice, and it still looks awsome.
By the way, after putting the final Carnuaba wax coat, the shine is more brilliant. As mentioned in my previous post, the Krasse made the car looked darker... the wax finish added more brightness to that finish (remember, it was pure carnuaba, not one of those carnuaba cleaner, which will take off a layers).
Hope that makes sense.

I also recently tried Klasse (I read the same link) and was very impressed with the ease of application. I used a clay bar before appling the all-in-one, this made a huge improvement in the smoothness of the paint. Since the all-in-one is a polish only 1 coat is necessary. The sealant/glaze can be applied in several coats, at least 24hrs apart. I am sold on this product.
You should wash your car before using Klasse. You should really claybar it first using your favorite car shampoo as a lubricant.
Klasse is great on glass too. I wish it didn't smell like parts cleaner.

I use Meguire's Gold Class car shampoo. Seems to work great and doesn't degrade the wax already on the car. I've never tried the Klausse polish, but after reading all of these reviews I'm going to give it a shot. Does anyone know how it compares to Meguire's new Tech Wax?

If you are referring to the Meguiars NXT, I have tested them both side by side and I really like the NXT. Both are great products.
My favorite car shampoo is Zaino. Never tried Gold Class, but any shampoo will do for claybar lube.

I bought 2 different clay bar - wolfgang ($30 kit) and some cheapie from local PEP Boys ($12). I found no difference between the two in terms of use or the quality. Both kit came with a clay lube, so no shampoo was needed. I did have to re-wash the car as clay lube left some residue.
One other thing, I bought a 7" random orbital polisher from Sears ($25) and it worked great and saved ton of time. I read that Porter Cable polisher was the best, but didn't want to spend $150.

i've used klasse ever since reading the car care link here. i ordered a kit containing klasse all-in-one, gloss sealant, 2 applicators, 2 waffle weave microfibers, deluxe buffing towel, klasse acrylic spritz spray. with s&h to hawaii ~$70-80. excellent stuff.
i believe that the all-in-one is meant to clean/strip off any wax residue and contaminants. so doing multiple layers isn't exactly necessary. but multiple layers of gloss sealant after all-in-one is fine. if needed, clay bar before using all-in-one.
i must say that the waffle weave microfibers and deluxe buffing towel are excellent accessories. although the kit was a bit expensive, all the products included are top notch.
i'd definitely recommend them to anyone.

I really enjoy the Klasse line.
More than 2 coats of AIO is over kill though. I do two just to make sure i covered everything, but the nature of the product is a paint cleaner. So it removes old polish. As you are applying a second coat it is probably removing the first. Most will agree with this. That's why i do 2 max. The SG you can layer as much as you want. That is the one that should get better looking with each coat. The pic below is just with the AIO. It was taken this weekend and I now have 2 coats of SG on it as well. It will get a third after I wash it this weekend.

Klasse versus Zaino - -
In my experience these are the only true synthetics that are worth trying. They both have their advantages and disadvantages, and it’s difficult to choose between the two.
Zaino will give a slightly more reflective appearance, but some think that it is too sterile appearing - - lacks depth. Zaino is more susceptible to micro-marring when washed carelessly. Zaino is slightly harder which makes bug or brake dust removal a little easier.
Klasse has its own dedicated pre-cleaner (AIO), while Zaino does not - - so you must decide on another source for this step in paint preparation. Klasse does not require mixing, so it is far easier to use for small area touch up use.
I am a recovering Zainoholic - - had 30+ coats on my Jet Black Z3 - - and for the past year have been experimenting with other products. My present choices are Klasse AIO (until the micro-marring is removed), then a couple of layers of Klasse HGSG, then topped with one or two layers of a good carnauba such as Souverän paste or P21S/S100 paste - - or - - Platinum topped with carnauba for easier care.
