side badge problem

Hi Guys,

Looking for some help here...

I was cleaning the car today and discovered that one of the side badges is in bad shape.
It looks like the clear coat came off. I cant tell if it's damaged or if it needs some cleaning product for in order for it to come back to normal.
The car is still under factory warranty. In the case of it being a paint damage, would mini cover that?

Any thoughts?

The first two pics are from the damaged side, the third is from the other side, which still looks normal.

It certainly looks like a defect. Would get it replaced under warranty. Not an expensive item.

The WC50 badge number and light can be removed and transferred over to the replacement.

Have you tried car polish on it? If not should be covered under warranty.
