Hi All,
I just did my first wash and wax on my new CM today. I was wondering if anyone could recommend what to use on my rims to protect them and keep them looking good. I have the 18 inch anthracite turbo fans, so I'm not too worried about brake dust showing. I would like to keep them looking new though. Whatever the dealer put on them made the water just bead off when I washed it. I have a lot of the Prima products, so if one of those would work, I wouldn't need to buy something new, but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help!

 

Prima makes a wheel wax called Wheel Armor that works great. I use it when I rotate my tires and the use Hydro every wash.

If the wax you put on them isn't made for wheels it won't do much, because they break down from the all the heat.

As for what the dealership put on them, I think the last time I was there they were selling some MINI/BMW branded car care products. So I'm sure you could pick some up there.
