Yup, sure do. Just be careful not to get wax or polish stuck on/under the edges. Easiest way it to wipe wax in the direction off the decal edge and onto the roof. If you rub roof to decal, some gets stuck around the decal edge. Don't use an abrasive wax.

Thanks. I'm getting the sunroof, so I'll probably use one of the perforated kits from Carvogue; think that will present any problems?

Nope- no problems. That's exactly what I have on my sunroof from CarVogue. The perforated vinyl is laminated with a clear layer on top so it's a smooth surface and safe to wax. You may need to use a little Turtle Wax clear coat polish stuff on it first to get out slight scratches from installation, but then put some nice ZAINO over it or other high quality show car polish and it will look great and be protected (Zaino blocks UV rays). Oh, and WELCOME to the site!

Have fun personalizing your MINI!

Where did you get the CarVogue decal from? Is it a kit with seperate pieces for the different parts of the roof and sunroof?

I have s white roof with the sunroof. I'm amazed at how white the roof stays when the rest of the car is filthy. Pretty cool...

CMINIGO - Do you have pictures of your roof/flag ?. I too have a dark silver with black sun/roof and was thinking of getting the same silver/black union jack.

Thanks

CarVogue
Andy at CarVogue was VERY helpful! I encourage anyone wishing to add any high quality vinyl to their MINI to purchase it through CarVogue (I think they sell through Moss MINI now) and tell them you heard about them at MCO. I also encourage you to come up with something unique to make your MINI one-of-a-kind. They can make ANYTHING you desire, even a photograph, into a roof decal. They can also make their existing designs in any colors you want, e.g. a Union Jack in crimson, black, and white or a spider web in silver and black. Usually, your roof color is part of the design where they don't put vinyl. So, on mine, where it's black, that's just the roof- the rest is vinyl.

With the sunroof, the decal comes in 3 sections. You can get the 2 sunroof sections in regular vinyl or perforated (which is about double the cost). It is NOT a cheap makeover by the time you pay for the decals, shipping to the US, then installation, but totally worth every Ben Franklin! Tracy

If you don't mind me asking (because i'm too lazy to figure it out myself), about how much would a design run? either way, they were definatally who I was going to call when I finally decide to get my Speed Racer "M" for my roof...

I have to start off by saying that I'm usually opposed to any appearance mods to the MINI that take away from its beautiful, stock styling. My Cooper is Indi Blue & black with no chrome, plain wheels, etc. I love it that way.

However, that black, silver, white Union Jack on the Silver MINI is just about perfect.

Thank God for diversity!

Awesome! From the pix it's difficult to tell that you have the black roof...my Cooper is pure silver, top to bottom...Do you think the look would be similar? I hadn't seen any roof art that I thought would look good on mine but I believe that you've changed my mind...Sweet!!

Hiya Jetjock!

You could custom order the UJ roof decal so the cross would be black and the triangles would be dark silver. It would end up looking different than mine, but still very awesome and unique. You have to use the roof color as the base for the decal, which is light silver in your case. http://www.CarVogue.co.uk can make the decal in any color combo you can dream up. They also do photos and other graphics. Very high quality stuff! E-mail me if you need any more help or advice: CMINIGO@northamericanmotoring.com

Motor On!
