Leather Conditioner

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to drop and quick line and ask everyone what some good leather conditioner and cleaners are.

I want to clean and condition my leather seats but I don't want to use anything that'll do more damage than good.

Any thoughts????

Always used Lexol

for 15 years plus now and across many German, Japanese and American interior leathers, both basic and very fancy. Cleans and conditions nicely and never a bad result over time--unlike harsh stuff like 409 or other cleaners, or the oily stuff like Armorall; both big no no's. Many other leather products out there too from all kinds of mass and specialty producers.

I second the lexol recommendation. It does leave a bit of a smell for a day or so that isn't the best. I generally like to use the lexol cleaner and griot's leather conditioner. Zymol's leather cleaner and conditioner are pretty good too.

I'm sure some people will recommend leatherique, but it's too expensive and a pain to apply for me.

I use Mother's Leather Cleaner and Prima Nourish conditioner. Love 'em both!

Quad, there are a lot of good products out there......everything mentioned above works very well. For conditioning the Prima and Lexol are excellent.

Myself, I really like the the leather cleaner from Mothers (this one mothersleathercleaner ) and Meguiars Conditioner (this one meguiarsleatherconditioner )

I've used both for a long time with great results: the Mothers does a great job of getting dirt out without hurting the leather and the Meguiars has kept all my leather soft without leaving a greasy film on the seats.

Actually their Prestine Clean is easy to use and works great. It's the oil part, the Rejuvenator that's a pain to use. You can use them together or just the cleaner alone. Often Prestine Clean is all we need and then we'll follow with Prima Nourish which smells great, and doesn't change the surface characteristics of the leather except to leave it soft and conditioned.

Agreed, it does clean well, but at the price they ask, I find other products to clean just as well for far less cost. To each their own.

On that note, I am trying to get rid of my bottle of leather conditioner from Griot's so that I can try Nourish! I only heard a little about it, but the leather smell alone is a huge selling factor.

I had someone 'detail' my SUV (one time only) and the wife complained about the greasy leather seats forever. I clean and condition the punch leather seats on the Mini with Adams products. After conditioning the seats they have a nice, even matt finish with no greasy feel.

I'm sure all the other recommended products are good too. I saw nobody had mentioned this brand.

I use Lexol cleaner and conditioner on steering wheel too. Cleans up the hand oils that build up over time nicely.
