Tarnished exterior aluminum trim

The aluminum trim on the exterior of my r56, between the window glass and the body, has spots that are pretty tarnished.

I was wondering if there are any products or tips I should get from you guys before I attempt to shine it. Never tried anything like it, so any advice would help.

Thanks in advance.

Just did mine today with blue magic metal polish. Worked great looks new and a shiney. I like to work it in with a tube sock and then buff it with a microfibre. It works good on the chrome too.

Any chrome or stainless polish should work. I use Meguiar's All-Metal Polysh on mine.

I guess I was thrown off by the word "polish" when I was looking at products. None of the labels I read mentioned tarnish remover. But I will get the Meguiars and give that a shot.

Also, should I wax this trim metal when I'm finished polishing?
