SOCAL - finishing a touch up

Hey there, i just finished touching up a small chip on my mini. it looks okay but i need the touch up to be smoothed down to the same level as the rest of the body panel and then polished/waxed...i was wondering if anyone knew anyone in los angeles who'd be good for such a job?

your advice is always extremely appreciated!

thanks!

Contact Richard aka OctaneGuy on this forum. He'll be able to tell you what you can realistically expect.

Langka product description?

What you ask for is pretty much the LANGKA product description . . .

Yeah, and I hate Langka, lol. If you know how to properly color sand and buff, really no touchup products come even close, except when you stand 2 feet away from your paint, lol.

I've actually got some Langka, the and OP is welcome to come use it for free at my shop. I use it to remove excess touchup paint, or in many cases, removing the existing touchup altogether, so that I can properly diagnose the problem, and correct it without touchup if possible.

yep

what I hear is you use it

does the average joe know how to color sand and buff?

Come on ... read your own posts . . .

I use it to remove excess touchup paint

yes there is a LNG fix; and a filler, airbrush, hand rubbed fix.

How many detect the difference?

well if w/in 100 miles of your shop maybe the answer is different . . . .

*******************

I'll not ask if you hate Lnga

cuz it does for a few dollars what you charge more than that

for the same fix ? ? ;

Let me rephrase what I said. I hate Langka because I don't get the results that I expect. I DO use Langka to remove paint that I've spilled or paint that has been improperly applied and is messy. I don't use Langka to smooth down paint blobs because to me, the result is only marginally better than just applying touchup smoothly. And usually in the end, the smoothing down process scuffs the surrounding paint and that needs to be polished out anyways.

The OP says he's in LA. I'm in OC, not far from LA. I'm letting the OP know that if he wants to try Langka, he can use it for free at my shop, or I can help him to smooth down the blobs using traditional means that work better.
