Washing your Mini
Washing your Mini
OK so I know there is a ton of info here about detailing Mini's but for those of us who are too lazy or not able to wash our own car does anyone out there want to admit that they use a car wash?
If so any comments on what to look for and what to avoid? I know that brushes leave swirls and have been known to eat parts of Minis.
I got my MCS 5 weeks ago and have had it washed once at the dealer (Dryer & Reinbold) who washes it for free and it was hand washed. They did an OK job and even though it was busy it took less than 30 minutes.

My MINI dealer offers a free wash as well, but I always decline and thank them for the offer.
Only hand washed.....even in winter. And if that is not possible, in a pinch a touchless car wash will do if they have a blow drier at the end.....

At the very least .... Turtle Wax ICE car wash and a chanile wash mit.
Possibly a "brushless" car wash.
Besides what damage can occur topside .... the conveyor that pulls the car through can damage the low undercarriage of a MINI.
I ALWAYS hand wash all my vehicles.
