Detailer's Domain: 2001 Porsche Boxster S - Paint Correction

I want to say that when I met up with this customer he didn't think that I could do much to the car. The car was bought new with under 8k logged on it since its purchase in 2001.

What was done -
Exterior

- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash and washed down
- Wheel wells were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Clayed
- Dried
- Paint inspected and measured
- Wheel Wells were cleaned and dressed with Adam's Undercarriage Spray
- Tires dressed with Swissvax Pneu
- Rear cab window was cleaned up
- Masking
- 3 Step Paint correction (Meguiars M105 with an Uber Yellow, Menzerna Super Intensive Polish with an Uber Green and Menzerna PO85RD with an Uber Blue)
- Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight
- Last Step - Menzerna Power Lock / Topped with Lusso Oro
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned

So what was the customer's reaction to your work? I'd imagine it was some kind of dumbfound, slack-jawed stare.

Holy moly. Phil - i am a HUGE fan of what you can do to a car. You added about 5k in value to that car.

I just don't understand how a car which has seen such little use had such horrible paintwork. I hope that the owner decides to add on more miles soon and keeps the paint clean!

Another great restore Phil! Don't you love customers like that with such low expectations?

I was halfway through the pics, thinking, "No way he saves this paint." Nice work.
